Role Overview:
The AVP/VP, Intraday Liquidity and Short-Term Funding Management is responsible for managing the liquidity and funding needs of the New York balance sheet. This role is focused on optimizing intraday liquidity, ensuring compliance with regulatory funding requirements, and maintaining efficient cash management practices. The individual will work closely with operations, risk, and other stakeholders to meet daily liquidity obligations and mitigate risks associated with short-term funding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Intraday Liquidity Management:
- Manage USD intraday liquidity in collaboration with the Federal Reserve and JPM NY Nostro accounts.
- Ensure timely funding of Nostro accounts to meet payment obligations and daily liquidity needs.
- Execute and monitor FX swaps, intragroup funding, and short-term collateral management transactions.
- Cash Management & Reporting:
- Oversee daily cash forecasting and reconciliation to ensure proper funding and liquidity.
- Manage short-term funding requirements and ensure efficient cash flow operations.
- Track collateral obligations, fees, and short-dated funding.
- Risk & Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with the Liquidity Risk Management (LRM) policies and regulatory standards.
- Implement and enforce liquidity risk controls to ensure a sustainable cash management process.
- Maintain strong relationships with liquidity counterparties, ensuring proper onboarding and credit limits.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with Operations to ensure accurate funding for loan drawdowns, rollovers, and repayments.
Support trade booking for USCP & YCD issuance, repo execution, and related transactions as needed
