Office Status: 4x a week

Salary: Up to 90k Bonus

Overview:

A leading global financial institution, recognized as one of the largest commercial banks by market capitalization, is seeking a Data Analytics Audit Associate to join its Internal Audit team. This position reports directly to the SVP & Internal Audit Data Analytics Team Lead. This role involves leveraging data analytics expertise to identify automation opportunities, conduct quantitative analysis, and develop tools and dashboards that enhance the audit process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, risks, and controls, paired with technical proficiency to drive impactful improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with audit teams to define data needs, design and execute analytics, and ensure compliance with audit standards.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities, developing tools and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.
• Lead strategic initiatives, including creating reusable data scripts, enhancing data culture, and developing continuous auditing/monitoring programs.
• Provide training and mentorship to audit staff on analytics methodologies and tools, fostering knowledge sharing and team development.
• Draft and present findings to management, offering practical recommendations for improvement.
• Support broader departmental initiatives and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS required. Master's, in computer science, data analytics/science, or relevant fields plus.
• 1 years of relevant audit experience with data analytics.
• Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages, including SQL, VBA, Python, Alteryx, and Qlik Sense.
• Experience in data modeling, mining, predictive analytics, and developing dashboards for audit and management purposes.
• CPA, CISA, CIA, CFA, FRM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
