Title: Financial Reporting Controller

Salary and Benefits: Up to $300k-350k total compensation

We are representing a prestigious private equity firm with a strong track record in real estate and alternative investments, seeking a Financial Reporting Controller to oversee key accounting functions across the management company, partnership accounting, and fund coordination. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), this high-impact role provides strategic exposure at the intersection of investments, operations, and financial reporting. The firm is entering a period of expansion, presenting significant growth opportunities for leadership within the finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private equity accounting, experience in high-growth environments, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business lines. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role at a leading investment firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, including variance analysis and management reporting.
• Collaborate with fund accounting, tax, treasury, and investor relations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead initiatives to improve accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
• Provide financial insights to senior leadership, assisting in strategic decision-making and supporting the firm’s growth initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting.
• 10 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit within private equity, investment management, or public accounting.
• CPA required.
