Middle Office Associate
Location: Midtown Manhattan
Office Status: 4x per week
Salary: Up to $150K base 20% bonus benefits
Company Overview:
A $10B AUM private credit firm in NYC is seeking a Middle Office Associate to support operations for Credit Funds, with a focus on CLOs, bank debt, and credit products. The firm offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment with opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Model and calculate CLO waterfalls
- Review and analyze CLO compliance metrics and NAV changes
- Assist in CLO warehousing, closing, and effective date processes
- Shadow CLO trustees and reconcile monthly reports
- Generate and validate compliance reports for CLO and SMA funds
- Run pre-trade/hypo reports for new trades across funds
- Resolve daily breaks and validate trades across managed vehicles
- Enhance processes and controls for P&L and risk management
- Participate in business development and reporting initiatives
- Assist with regulatory reporting and internal/external reports
- Manage lifecycle events for CLO vehicles, including new issuances, resets, reinvestments, refinancing's, and redemptions
- Oversee liquidity and cash management, including forecasting, reconciliations, and settlement processing across multiple custodians
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of mid-office experience in syndicated leveraged loans and bond asset classes, including CLOs (from warehouse to redemption) and SMA products
- Experience with compliance modules and loan administration
- Background in CLO management, loan/fund administration, trusteeship, or public accounting preferred
- Strong MS Excel skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented
