A global investment firm with approximately $85 billion in assets under management is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Fund Accounting team. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Senior Associate will support fund accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general ledger analysis and support monthly/quarterly closes.
- Record journal entries for cash transactions related to capital calls and liquidations.
- Track investment sales and allocate proceeds based on ownership percentages.
- Analyze partner capital accounts and assist in financial statement preparation.
- Support annual audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Manage bridge loan facility allocations and payments.
- Respond to general partner and investor inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of experience in public or private accounting, with a focus on partnership accounting.
- Investment industry experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Alteryx, Anaplan, and Power BI is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $130,000 - $160,000, based on experience.
