Tax Director – Advisory & Development
Location: New York, NY
Work From Home Policy: 3 days per week in-office
Salary: $180k - $220k base bonus

Summary:
Provide tax advisory, planning, and research support for both new business initiatives and ongoing operations across the Americas region for a global financial institution. Oversee select compliance activities and manage key tax-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver or coordinate U.S. tax advisory services to business units and support teams for new ventures, transactions, and structural changes.
- Assess and communicate the tax implications and effective tax rate impact of proposed business activities.
- Draft or contribute to formal U.S. tax memoranda and opinions related to entity setup, structuring, and other strategic workflows.
- Support internal teams and global counterparts with U.S. tax documentation, withholding, and reporting matters, including FATCA compliance.
- Provide technical insight and analysis for current tax return positions as needed.
- Conduct high-level reviews of select U.S. income tax filings to ensure consistency with prior advice and to flag changes in tax laws or practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- CPA designation and/or Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
- 10–15 years of relevant tax experience, including a strong background in the financial services industry and inbound U.S. tax issues.
- Strong technical tax knowledge with the ability to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions.
- Proficient in tax modeling and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Salary : $180,000 - $220,000
