We are looking for a skilled and reliable Medical Assistant with specialized ENT surgical training to join our high-volume otolaryngology practice. This role supports both clinical and surgical workflows by assisting an ENT surgeon with in-office patient care, procedures, post-op care, and patient education. The ideal candidate has a strong clinical background, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a working knowledge of ENT surgical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist ENT surgeon during in-office procedures such as nasal endoscopy, laryngoscopy, ear debridement, and minor excisions
- Prepare patients for surgical consultations and procedures
- Review surgical consent forms, educate patients about surgical preparation and post-op instructions
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient history with attention to ENT-specific conditions
- Track lab results, imaging, and biopsy reports; ensure timely communication of results to providers and patients
- Manage surgical inventory and ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained
- Document all clinical activity accurately in the EMR
- Assist with prior authorizations, and medical clearances as needed
- Patient care responsibilities may include checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure rooms, assisting patients as needed.
- Set-up of examination rooms and instruments in accordance with proper sterilization techniques established by Doctors Office and infection control policies.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ENT or surgical specialty preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in ENT surgical terminology and familiarity with pre- and post-op protocols
- EMR proficiency and strong documentation skills
- Professional, compassionate communication style with both patients and surgical staff
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
