Equity Trading Specialist

• Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Equity Trading Assistant to support the trading and portfolio management team. The role involves monitoring live trades, managing trade executions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day trading activities. • Key Responsibilities:
• Live Trade Monitoring: Monitor real-time trades, handle alerts, resolve system issues, and ensure smooth execution of orders.
• Trade Execution & Allocations: Assist with manual trade executions and ensure accurate trade allocations across different strategies and portfolios.
• Trade Reconciliation: Review and reconcile trades, resolve discrepancies, and ensure that positions, prices, and P&L are correctly reflected.
• Data Management: Maintain and update trade data, security master, and other critical databases.
• Process Optimization: Assist in maintaining and improving automated trading systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (portfolio managers, risk, compliance) and external parties (brokers, prime brokers, counterparties) to ensure effective execution and settlement of trades.
• Ad-hoc Requests: Support senior management and traders with various operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in trading operations, finance, or a related field.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL, Python.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
