Madison Settlement Services in Plano, TX is hiring! We are looking for an experienced Escrow Officer. This is an in-office, full-time position. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

· Ability to complete routine residential resale, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosure

· Ability to read and understand title commitments

· Ability to resolve title issues (e.g. corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments)

· Open title order requests

· Prepare commitment packages to be sent to clients (mortgage brokers, lender, buyers and sellers)

· Submit documents for recording

· Prepare final title policies

· Understands real estate regulations and guidelines.

· Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines

· Coordinates the closing between all parties to the escrow

· Returns all calls, voicemails and e-mails in a timely manner

· Performs other duties as assigned

· Maintains cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promote/solicit business

· Adheres to company policies and guidelines.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

· Texas State Escrow License is required

· Must be a certified notary public in the state of Texas

· Minimum of 3 years escrow experience is required

· This is a position will sit in our Plano office.

· Knowledge of Qualia is preferred

· Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
