POSITION PURPOSE
The Systems Analyst IT Middleware supports IT and business users to work more efficiently using DevOps tools to automate work and ensure security. Supports testing and quality assurance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Supports development teams with infrastructure needs.
- Learns and implements best practices for system administration and configuration management.
- Assists with improving, automating, and scaling IT infrastructure.
- Helps the DevOps team to respond quickly to issues and user requests.
- Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in technology, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using a programming language and/or Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Strong business acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge and Skills
- Willingness and ability to acquire expertise in supporting other programming languages and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.

The position is hybrid, and office days are in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, where MGE is an active participant in community efforts to preserve the area's extraordinary quality of life.
