Key Duties & Responsibilities: As the Director of Nursing (DON), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure effective patient care delivery.
Leading and managing the entire clinical team, including nurse managers, Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other healthcare professionals.
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
Developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Collaborating with medical staff, administrators, and other departments to provide high-quality care to residents.
Managing budgets, staffing levels, and resources to optimize department performance.
Leading and participating in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Conducting staff training and development to ensure ongoing professional growth and the best care practices.
Serving as the primary point of contact for families and residents regarding nursing care concerns.
What We’re Looking For:
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and quality standards in a skilled nursing facility.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development and collaboration.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
