What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting- Staff Accountant-(Remote) position at Madison Memorial Hospital?
As Accountant, this person will have the ability to carry out all Staff Accountant I duties as well as assuming additional responsibilities which require understanding accruals and a more complex knowledge of hospital databases and reporting. This position will assist in the supervision and training of other employees in the Accounting department, provide financial support to management as assigned, and oversee larger components of monthend such as statistics, fixed asset maintenance, and accounts payable accrual and expense review.

Required Skills:
1. Solid understanding of general ledger entries, including general accounts payable and payroll processes.
2. Highly skilled in the use of Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc) and other Microsoft programs.
3. Must have excellent work habits and can allocate time appropriately to complete tasks and meet critical deadlines.
4. Must be willing and able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in carrying out duties.
5. Has strong organizational skills and excellent problem solving capabilities, as well as having a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Minimum of two years of related accounting experience is preferred

1. Bachelors in Accounting
