What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasons Womens Center-Ultrasound Sonographer-(RPT) position at Madison Memorial Hospital?
Under the direction of a physician, supervises and performs those duties directly involved with a variety of special technical procedures performed with the ultrasound equipment. Supervises and trains sonographers, ancillary personnel and students assigned within the department. Activates repairs and controls work progress within those areas of designated responsibility.
· Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as an Ultrasound Sonographer.
- Schedule: Regular Part time
- Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm - Friday 8am-12:30pm
Required Skills:
1. Healthcare provider CPR.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Must be competent in routine diagnostic procedures, including but not limited to: Abdomen, OB, Gyn, small parts, breast, and vascular.
Minimum Education:
1. ARRT or ARDMS registered or registry eligible in Ultrasound is required. Completion of the Ultrasound registry must be completed within six months of hire.
2. Completion of an approved Ultrasound or Radiology Technologist program required.
3. A minimum of six months of documented experience in ultrasound is preferred.
a. Following ARRT guidelines, years of experience can be used in lieu of completion of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technologist program.
b. Internal applicants (students) receiving on the job training in shall be deemed to possess the experience requirements listed above as a result of their training time invested.
