MMSD is hiring Summer Semester staff to provide high quality, targeted instruction for our students who need it the most beyond the regular school year.

Summer Semester Principal; Director of Secondary Programs

Compensation
$40/hour
Purpose of Position
Summer Semester is a learning support for students who meet criteria and will use summer learning to stay on track for graduation to become college, career and community ready. Summer Semester staff are hired to provide high quality, targeted instruction for our students who need it the most beyond the regular school year.
This summer students will have the option of enrolling in .5 science credit delivered through community / experiential learning-based summer courses for first time high school credit. These courses promote academic rigor, community engagement and connection, through hands-on, experiential, and project based learning opportunities. There will be a blend of in-person class time, asynchronous course work, and field experiences in the community.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
M ust be certified in the content area or in the area of the course(s) that they will be teaching

June 23-July 31 (no school July 4)

- Responsible for reporting out individual student progress at the end of summer.
