No Fear Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled Dental Financial and Treatment Coordinator to play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless and compassionate patient experience. We are seeking a dedicated team member with 5 years of expertise in dental insurance, treatment planning, and working with Dentrix Ascend software. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of dental insurance verification, treatment plan coordination, and financial management to ensure a smooth and efficient financial workflow within the practice. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Insurance Verification & Claims Management:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits for both new and existing patients.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of insurance claims, follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims, and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with insurance policies, changes, and regulations.
- Treatment Planning Coordination:
- Collaborate with the clinical team to create detailed, accurate, and clear treatment plans for patients.
- Provide financial breakdowns of proposed treatments and explain patient responsibilities in a clear and concise manner.
- Offer patients financial options, including insurance benefits, financing, and payment plans.
- Patient Financial Assistance:
- Educate patients on their insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs, including co-pays, deductibles, and treatment costs.
- Assist patients in understanding financial options such as payment due the day of services, third-party financing, with Care Credit & Wellness Program options.
- Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve any financial concerns or issues promptly.
- Dentrix Ascend Software Utilization:
- Utilize Dentrix Ascend software to manage patient accounts, process insurance claims, track patient balances, and document financial communications.
- Generate and maintain accurate financial records for both patient accounts and insurance claims.
- Ensure data integrity within the system and assist in troubleshooting any software-related issues.
- Billing & Collections:
- Manage patient accounts, including sending statements, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate records of payment histories.
- Coordinate with patients to set up Care Credit or Wellness Program as needed and ensure timely payment collections.
- Work with the team to follow up on overdue accounts and resolve any issues efficiently.
- General Administrative Support: (10%)
- Support the front office team with scheduling, patient intake, and any other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain an organized and efficient office environment while fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients.
- Additional responsibilities to meet the needs of the organization.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in dental financial coordination, insurance, and treatment planning.
- Strong working knowledge of dental insurance, including PPO, HMO, and Medicaid.
- Proficient in Dentrix Ascend software or similar dental management software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to patients in a clear and empathetic manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
