Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full-time Cook to join our Dietary Department and support our mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.
Our Cook plays a vital role in ensuring that patients, visitors, and staff enjoy nutritious, great-tasting meals in a clean, welcoming environment. Responsibilities include:
- Cooking and food preparation
- Assembling patient trays
- Setting up the buffet line
- Operating the cash register
- Washing dishes
- Providing assistance to patients and customers as needed
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule & Work Conditions:
This is a full-time position with rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role involves long periods of standing, repetitive hand/wrist movements, bending, and reaching. The ability to lift 10-35 lbs. is required. The work environment is clean and well-lit, with potential exposure to common kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and sharp tools.
