Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full-time Health Unit Coordinator to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.
Our Health Unit Coordinator is an essential part of our Medical team who is responsible for greeting patients and/or their representative in a friendly manner, communicating with other departments, clerical duties, reception duties, requisition supplies, and services as directed. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. High school diploma or equivalent education required. On the job training provided. Medical terminology or medical secretary training preferred.
The Health Unit Coordinator works 12 hour rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Shift differential occurs 6pm-6am Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays. The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with long periods of sitting and/or standing, occasional bending, reaching, or stopping, and frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved.
