Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full-time or part-time Respiratory Therapist to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.
Our Respiratory Therapist is an essential part of our Medical team and is responsible for administering respiratory therapeutics according to the Standards of care adopted at Madison Regional Health System including CPT&PD, aerosol therapy, MDI, IPPB, Inc. SP02 and ambulation. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. The successful candidate must be a graduate of A.M.A. approved school of Respiratory Therapy. They must have or be eligible to obtain NBRC registration status and licensure in South Dakota. Current NBRC registration status and licensure according to South Dakota State Law required. If not yet registered, but registry eligible, must obtain registration within approximately 18 months after employment as an RT. CPR certification required.
The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust. Respiratory Therapists work 10 hour shifts with rotation of call, weekend, and holiday coverage. You will have a unique opportunity to build your skillset by working in various departments such as medical, surgical, and emergency room areas.
Full-time positions come with Madison Regional Health System's benefits package and a competitive salary. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year. Madison Regional Health System employees receive a discount at the on-site cafeteria. Shift differential occurs 6pm-6am Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays.
