Summary:
Our Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting in the execution of our company marketing plan, as well as ensuring all digital and physical materials meet our brand standards. This role is hands-on, and will work directly with social media, events, collateral and property signage. The Marketing Intern will work at various properties in Cape May County, NJ within our brand. Our interns gain insight into Marketing processes and contribute to essential functions while learning valuable skills.
Responsibilities:
- Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
- Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
- Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Balances service satisfaction objectives with financial and business objectives.
- Ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people.
- Assist in executing marketing strategies to expand customer base and maximize existing guest potential to obtain market share.
- Provide social media content ideas that are on brand, on trend and will generate positive engagement
- Assists with social media content creation via photography, video, stories, and reels
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule that includes engaging text, image, and/or video content.
- Edits all photos and videos to match brand standards.
- Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around the company’s products and services.
- Grow and maintain our following through the design and implementation of a social media content calendar.
- Attends property and community events to capture content and live feeds.
- Engages with local businesses and partners to create social content highlighting community businesses.
- Obtain knowledge of property events and offerings to manage and answer all messages, inquiries, comments, and tags.
- Updates all property signage with the most up to date promotions.
- Attends property events to provide support in setup, cleanup, run of show, etc.
- Engage followers and guests to increase brand loyalty and the submission of guest-shared content.
- Assists the team in the creation of events on social media (Ticket links, Facebook events, basic, event descriptions, etc.)
- Organizes photo and video content in file storage by event/category.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or related field.
- Must be able to work on holidays and weekends.
- Attention-to-detail and strong command of grammar and spelling.
- Knowledge of analytics and social media trends and a desire to continuously acquire further knowledge.
- Design experience is a plus (Canva or Adobe Suite)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of guest service.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations.
