Nursing Administration-House Supervisor-(PRN)
The House Supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. In the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer, Hospital Administrator, Director and/or designee, the House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator on-call.
- Schedule: PRN
- Variable evenings/nights, weekends and holidays
Required Skills:
1. Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate competence in the care of the age and type of patient populations served.
2. Documented leadership skills, critical-thinking skills, and application of good interpersonal relationships and principles of supervision and administration.
3. Documented and/or demonstrated clinical expertise as a registered nurse, sufficient to provide broad-based assistance to staff as needed.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. Five (5) years’ clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). Formal experience in leadership role such as charge nurse, clinical lead, or educator is preferred.
Minimum Education:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holds current licensure in Idaho as a registered professional nurse.
2. Associates Degree in Nursing or equivalent. BSN preferred.
