Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PLC Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, hydraulics, and logic controllers. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and associated systems to ensure operational efficiency. The PLC Technician will also engage in field service activities and collaborate with various departments to enhance system performance.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical equipment and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to detect issues within the system.
- Program and configure logic controllers for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate vision inspection systems into production lines.
- Provide field service support, addressing customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Document all maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of CNC machinery setups as required.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to Calypso systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a PLC Technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, hydraulics, and logic controllers.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters for troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems is a plus.
- Experience with CNC machinery is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
