Hiring for Social Services  Director  - Illinois licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC)

The Social Services Director is responsible for the management of a clinical team made up of six case managers, one group leader and one CRSS who are providing clinical care and case management services for adults who have a serious mental illness and may also have a substance use diagnoses. The Social Services Director may also be required to carry a small caseload and provide direct service.

Responsibilities for Social Services Director :

• Ensures compliance with Illinois Department Public Health (IDPH), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and Admissions requirements
• Ensures client orientation is completed for each new admission
• Directs the provision of services using psychological rehabilitation and emphasizing wellness, resilience and recovery
• Provides crisis de-escalation and intervention
• Assists in resolving client and family grievances in a timely manner
• Ensures the facilitation of all aspects of a client’s plan of care including assessments and treatment planning, communication with managed care organizations (MCOs) and community-based providers
• Works closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide feedback and maintain communication
• Hires, trains, schedules, directs, evaluates and provides oversight to the social services department, staff, including case managers, case manager assistants and group leaders

Requirements for Social Services Director :

Illinois licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) Also, license eligible individuals. Two to five years’ clinical experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
