Clinical Supervisor for Great Beginnings
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a home visiting program for pregnant women, expectant fathers, and parents and caregivers of children under the age of 5. Home visiting programs improve the health of young children by providing support and services to families in their own homes. The Great Beginnings program uses the Healthy Families America model - a strength-based approach to provide nurturing care, and the Parent as Teachers curriculum to promote early development, learning, and health.
The Clinical Supervisor provides day-to-day supervision, support and assistance to the home visiting staff. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for maintaining fidelity to the home visiting model, which includes completing and monitoring confidential family records, facilitating professional development activities for staff, individual supervision, group supervision, team meetings and overseeing caseloads.
Madonna Place is located at 240 Main Street in Norwich, CT. The ideal candidate will have professional experience working with families and children, expertise in early childhood and child development, group facilitation, conflict resolution skills, and experience with crisis intervention and trauma informed care.

Program: Great Beginnings
Position: Clinical Supervisor (on-site)
Report to: Executive Director (Program Manager)
Hours/week: 40 hours per week (flexible work schedule)
Salary: $60,000 to $75,000 (exempt) a relocation package of up to $2,500 is available
Requirements:
· Master’s degree in social work or in a related social science or human services field
· A minimum of 3 years previous direct experience in human services required
· A minimum of 2 years supervisor and clinical experience working with vulnerable families
· Must possess basic skills in MS Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, Access & Outlook)
· State Driver’s License and Auto insurance required
· Trained in Healthy Families America, Parents as Teachers, and Circle of Security (will train the right candidate since these models are a required part of the position)
· Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills
· A passion for addressing health disparities for underserved populations
· Cultural competence demonstrated by a welcoming and non-judgmental attitude, and respect for individual and family values and culture
· Bilingual strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
· Timely Assessments of the needs of referred families
· Assign families to home visitors based on staff competencies, family needs, and caseloads
· Serve as an advocate and liaison between health and social service agencies, and families
· Coordinate and lead a team of 6 home visiting staff members
· Provide weekly documented supervision for each staff member (5 full-time, 1 part-time)
· Intervene to resolve client complaints, and proactively prevent crisis situations
· Motivate the team to meet and exceed objectives while ensuring a high standard of care
· Complete annual staff performance evaluations
· Complete various reports for grant applications, follow up reports, and internal reports
· Supervise payroll and mileage reimbursements
· Oversee and administer data collection, data entry, and data analysis
· Attend regional meetings, events and trainings, and funder trainings
· Meet performance expectations
· Other duties as needed
Agency Expectations:
· Follow the National Assn of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics with regard to professional boundaries, client confidentiality and other professional ethics
· Participate in all individual and group supervision, team meetings and ongoing training
· Exhibit consistent attendance, punctuality, and responsible use of personal time with consideration of client/program/agency needs
· Educate and market program to staff and the general public
· Attend all meetings as required by funders or the agency
