About the Role:
The EH&S Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing effective EH&S programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This includes collaborating with team members to identify workplace hazards and developing comprehensive safety programs.
Main Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement EH&S programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Collaborate with team members to identify workplace hazards and develop comprehensive safety programs
- Assist the EH&S Manager in leading EH&S programs and ensuring compliance with OSHA General Industry Standards and Company Standards
- Facilitate EH&S training for all members and measure progress towards meeting EH&S targets and objectives
- Provide triage and first aid in the event of injury to a team member or contractor
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in EH&S within a manufacturing environment (lumber-related preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
- Understanding of facilitating a successful EH&S program
- Ability to present and train team members
- Proactive and enthusiastic with effective leadership skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office software
