My client has multiple Structural Engineering roles at multiple levels based on experience from EIT to Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager roles. This is a hybrid role based in either North Carolina (Charlotte) or South Carolina (Columbia, Charleston, or Rock Hill) The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from the proposal phase to construction administration.
Responsibilities
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and construction cost estimates
- Perform construction-related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and building contractors on design and construction of projects
- Experience focused on Temporary Works / Construction Services (Girder Lift Plans, Demolition Plans, Mass Concrete, Formwork / Falsework Design, Shoring Wall Systems, other structural concrete, steel, and timber designs)
- Able to assist with permanent bridge design and design-build pursuits
- Able to go to the project sites and mesh with the construction crews, engineers, and project managers.
