- Create accurate, detailed architectural drawings, plans, and designs using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure designs align with project goals and specifications
- Prepare construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Assist in the preparation of permit drawings and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Review design specifications and provide input on material selection, layout, and design solutions
- Interpret and apply architectural design principles to develop creative and functional spaces
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure deadlines are met and project milestones are achieved
- Conduct field measurements, site visits, and inspections as needed to verify conditions and update drawings accordingly
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, and clients
- Maintain an organized file system for drawings and related documents
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in architectural drafting and design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-standard drafting software
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices
- Knowledge of various building materials and methods
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
- Portfolio showcasing a range of previous architectural design and drafting work
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
- LEED certification or experience with sustainable design practices
- Experience in both residential and commercial project design
