Peggy Malone & Associates, a division of Madrid CPWG, is hiring a Traffic Data Field Technician for the mid-northern VA. This is a hybrid role. Our traffic data technician will have a company truck and a storage unit by their home. The traffic data technician deploys traffic counting hardware for customers throughout mid-to-northern VA. Hours are flexible depending on the customer contract (always paid at 40 hours, plus OT paid out as needed). We provide OTJ training for this role, no experience in our industry is required. Prior experience working outdoors or in production is helpful.

Peggy Malone & Associates (PMA), Inc. has been conducting traffic counts throughout the Southeastern & Mid-Atlantic area for over twenty years. We have been a Prime Consultant or a Subconsultant for 2,008 projects for the past five years. We usually serve as a sub-consultant to full-service engineering firms on DOT agency projects, as well as private sector projects that require traffic data collection.

All data is processed in our Jacksonville headquarters and data is verified in the field as it is being set, before it is retrieved and checked for accuracy while being collected. Job Description
PMA is looking to add a field technician to work out of Northern VA. This individual will be working on various roadways (highway, rural, intersections, on/off highway ramps, city roads, turnpikes, etc.) setting up video cameras and hose counters. Depending on the time of year, weather conditions can make this challenging for some individuals. Employee safety, dexterity, and the ability to stay focused for long periods are critical to success in this role. Overnight travel may be necessary during the year, and all expenses paid.
Skills needed are:

- Ability to stay focused for long periods
- Must be able to multi-task to count several lanes of traffic at once
- May need to sit and/or stand for long periods
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license required
- Prior production assembly line or production data entry experience would be helpful
- High School Diploma or higher
