Madrid Home Communities is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) offering residential living for seniors at every stage of health, activity, and independence. We are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team who will assist directly and indirectly with the delivery of occupational therapy treatment services under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing therapeutic treatment in accordance with the patients' established plan of care, with a focus on functional and measurable outcomes. This includes assisting the Occupational Therapist in establishing restorative nursing programs, planning and administering occupational therapy treatment interventions, educating patients and families, and monitoring and documenting patient progress.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant Program and certification (or eligibility for) by AOTA.
- Valid license or eligible for licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Iowa.
- High-level communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.
