Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Coordinating the collection, review and production of documents and responding to discovery requests.
· Assisting with trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders and appendices for depositions and court filings.
· Summarizing deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits.
· Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorney.
· Preparing and filing documents with courts.
· Staying up to date on legal procedures and regulations as they relate to the paralegal’s field of practice.
· Conducting legal research and investigations.
· Knowledge using Lexis.
· Interviewing clients and witnesses and preparing documentation of the interview for attorney review.
· Drafting various legal documents including pleadings, deposition notices and legal briefs.
· Performing a variety of administrative tasks including filing paperwork, answering phone calls, and sending emails.
· Organizing and archiving documents related to completed and ongoing cases.
· Keeping track of changes in legal frameworks and providing timely updates on these changes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
