About This Role
We're seeking a highly motivated On & Off-premise Sales Representative to join our team in Central Alabama. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for building strong relationships with our customers and increasing overall sales volume. Your primary duties will include preparing appointments, pulling the correct samples, and setting objectives for designated accounts ahead of time. You'll also be expected to identify opportunities to increase overall wine and spirits distribution through BTB/BTG, spirits, cocktail menu placement, and retail shelf space.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of retail or distribution experience and strong sales aptitude with the ability to stock shelves and stack product cases. They must be friendly, courteous, and able to work well with others while maintaining a professional appearance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic mathematical skills are also required. Additionally, they should be highly organized with the ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Build strong relationships with our customers to drive sales growth and increase customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to increase overall wine and spirits distribution through BTB/BTG, spirits, cocktail menu placement, and retail shelf space.
• Prepare for the work day and week by organizing appointments, pulling the correct samples, and setting objectives for designated accounts ahead of time.
• Call on assigned accounts to increase sales volume, merchandise, monitor prices, and manage shelf space.
• Manage daily retail inventory levels using sales history, competitive activity, promotional activities, etc..
• Prepare appointments and objectives for supplier ride withs.
• Sample customers on products (wine, spirits).
• Work with other service reps, merchandising team, management, and our customers to maximize sales.
• Introduce and sell-in new brands and packages to assigned retailers (wine, spirits).
• Cultivate a superior knowledge of MadVines products.
• Create strong relationships with our customers by providing dependable, friendly, and appreciative service.
• Work with the accounting department to resolve any AR, invoicing, or payment issues.
• Attend bi-monthly wine and spirits product and sales training meetings.
• Demonstrate the MadVine's mission, vision, and values in all responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
