Job Title: Administrator
Department: Healthcare Administration
Reports To: Executive Director / Healthcare Board
Job Summary: The Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and
regulatory compliance of a healthcare facility in accordance with Indiana Administrative Code
(410 IAC 17-9-2). This role requires a leader capable of maintaining high standards of care
while ensuring that the facility meets state regulatory and operational requirements. The
Administrator will manage staff, coordinate activities, and ensure adherence to policies,
procedures, and legal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility meets all requirements specified under 410
IAC 17-9-2, including compliance with health, safety, and operational regulations.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise and manage daily operations, ensuring efficiency in
service delivery while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff. Promote a positive and
efficient working environment while ensuring proper staffing levels to meet patient needs.
- Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain facility policies and
procedures in alignment with state laws, including 410 IAC 17-9-2.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the facility's financial activities, including
budgeting, expense management, and resource allocation to optimize operational
effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess the quality of care provided, ensuring
continuous improvement and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory
bodies as mandated by state law. Maintain accurate records related to compliance,
operational procedures, and patient care.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensure that the facility is properly maintained, safe, and
conducive to delivering high-quality care to patients and residents.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
- Valid Indiana Administrator’s License (or the ability to obtain one).
- Proven experience in healthcare administration, particularly in long-term care or
residential facilities.
- Knowledge of Indiana Administrative Code 410 IAC 17-9-2 and healthcare regulatory
practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage staff, budgets, and operational processes effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with
professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.
- Experience in a similar healthcare facility or administrative role.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and quality control processes.
Work Environment:
The Administrator will primarily work in a healthcare facility setting, including offices, patient careareas, and other facility spaces. Occasional travel may be required for training, meetings, or compliance inspections
