Job Title: RN Clinical Supervisor Assistant

Job Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical services
within a healthcare facility, ensuring that clinical staff adhere to the standards and
regulations outlined in 410 IAC 17-12-1(d). This position requires an experienced and
skilled professional to ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and the
effective supervision of clinical staff, including nurses and other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Oversight: Supervise and monitor clinical staff, ensuring that all care
provided aligns with facility policies, Indiana Administrative Code 410 IAC
17-12-1(d), and established healthcare standards.
- Staff Supervision: Manage, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff, including nurses
and clinical support personnel. Provide guidance and support to ensure effective
care delivery and professional development.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that clinical practices and staff are in full
compliance with 410 IAC 17-12-1(d), which includes adhering to specific clinical
guidelines and maintaining appropriate staff-to-patient ratios.
- Training and Development: Facilitate ongoing training, education, and certification
for clinical staff. Ensure all clinical staff members are knowledgeable about
current healthcare practices and legal requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor patient care activities and clinical documentation for
quality assurance. Conduct audits and implement corrective actions where
necessary to maintain high standards of care.
- Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including
physicians, nursing staff, and support teams, to develop, implement, and evaluate
patient care plans.
- Clinical Documentation: Oversee the proper documentation of patient care
activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the maintenance of
accurate and confidential patient records.
- Resource Management: Ensure that clinical staff have the appropriate resources
and equipment to provide safe and effective care. Assist in managing inventory
and ensuring the proper functioning of clinical tools.
- Collaboration with Management: Work closely with facility management to
address clinical issues, improve processes, and ensure that operational standards
align with regulatory guidelines.
- Incident Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents, patient
concerns, or non-compliance with clinical standards, and participate in
investigations or corrective action plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Indiana nursing license.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with
at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of 410 IAC 17-12-1(d), healthcare regulations, and
clinical best practices.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to
manage and motivate clinical teams effectively.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required. Additional
certifications in clinical supervision or management preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration,
or a related field.
- Experience: Experience working in long-term care or rehabilitation facilities.
- Specialized Skills: Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems, case
management, and patient care coordination.
Work Environment:
The Clinical Supervisor will primarily work in the healthcare facility, including patient care areas, nursing stations, and office spaces. Occasional travel may be required for training, meetings, or regulatory inspections

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
