Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Our facilities are capable of receiving, storing, processing and dispatching cargo, so we can build flexibility and resilience into the supply chain process. The lead hand ensures compliance to procedures as documented in Damco's
Process Documentation and Work Instructions.
Advise employees in regards to needs of specific customers
Communicate shift progress to supervisor throughout the shift
Drive accuracy of paperwork and quality of work for all aspects of the
working environment
Coordinate day to day activities of workers with the shift supervisor to
meet work schedules
Rotate throughout all lead hand positions within the facility
Ensure team and individual productivity is accurately recorded and met
or exceeded
Responsible for training workers on customer and departmental specific
requirements.
Actively participate in monthly Lead Hand Round Tables to discuss and
promote best practices in the workplace.
