POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The Account Manager for Nutrients & Minerals offers excellent growth potential both for the business and for the individual who can deliver results in a complex, rapidly changing work environment. You will manage, develop, and lead sales and market development efforts for your assigned territory, provide technical and formulation support to the Americas Sales Team, and lead the development and implementation of sales strategy in the assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Foster and create customer loyalty through high professional conduct and practices aligned with core company values
- Develop strong and compelling sales strategies and execution plans for assigned territory on existing and new Minerals & Nutrients products
- Develop, implement, and manage plans to grow sales with existing customers and convert new customers to maximize sales and profitability
- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and pricing by keeping current with market trends, economic indicators, and competition
- Sales territory primarily in California, targeting Dietary Supplement / VMS and Functional Food & Beverage accounts
- Implement programs for “Food Fortification” with Mineral & Nutrient product lines, targeting accounts as directed by leadership
- Develop strong technical knowledge of products offered, including therapeutic benefits and applications
- Monitor and report on activities, providing relevant information to management, including sales call reports and monthly work progress reports
- Establish and maintain membership in appropriate trade associations
- Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including the use of safety equipment and promoting a strong safety culture
