Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position involves working in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including a Level II Trauma Center, where you will assist with various clinical tasks and patient interactions.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Prepare patients for dermatology consultations, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
- Support the healthcare team in hospital medicine and emergency medicine scenarios.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Assist with the management of medical supplies and equipment within the clinic or hospital environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Familiarity with dermatology practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of both outpatient and inpatient care processes, including OR protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or trauma centers.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient care and support.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
