Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Platform Instructor (PI): Rated Crewmember, MH-60 to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Train Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers, Government, Partner Nation and Contractor rotary wing aviators in the knowledge and skills to become Special Operations Aviators.
- Provide: 1) academic instruction for Special Operations aircraft systems; 2) cockpit and avionics systems management; 3) instruction on special mission equipment such as the Robertson Extended Fuel System; 4) mission planning; 5) weight and balance; 6) environmental factors and considerations; and 7) Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) in the 160th SOAR(A) RTSOP.
- Provide SOA peculiar platform instruction.
- Ensure instruction aligns with the requirements defined by POIs.
- Provide platform instruction in Advanced Individual Training (AIT). AIT consists of both academic and hands on maintenance training of an Army Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) qualified soldier to maintain SOF unique aspects/components of SOA systems.
- Fly in ARSOAC aircraft to validate aircraft system lessons as required.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of two years experience as a FMQ, FL, SIP, or IP in Army Special Operation rotary wing helicopter.
- 1,500 hours minimum pilot/copilot experience in rotary wing aircraft.
- SECRET clearance

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD).
