SOA/TRMS Safety Specialist

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Safety Specialist to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage the Army Aviation Safety Program, ensuring compliance with Army Safety regulations, OSHA, EPA, Hazmat and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations. The Contractor shall implement the Army’s accident prevention procedure and loss control systems.
• Assist the Safety Office in aviation and ground safety. The Contractor shall prepare and conduct training in aviation and ground safety. The Contractor shall recommend safety policies and procedures related to aviation and ground training.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an Army Aviation Safety Center course or other military branch equivalent.
• Minimum of two years experience as an Aviation Safety Officer.
• SECRET Clearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
