UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot/Maintenance Examiner (MTP/ME)

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is hiring for a UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot/Maintenance Examiner (MTP/ME) to support the US Army’s Security Assistance Training Management Organization (USA-SATMO) and the Albania Air Force performing flight, ground, production, and quality control duties. 

The primary focus of this position will be to establish a maintenance program and train the Albanian Air Force on maintenance operations for the UH-60A.

The overall objective of the TAFT is to assist Albanian Air Force in building a mission-ready UH-60A Utility Helicopter Company with appropriately trained instructor pilot, maintenance test pilots, and maintenance support personal capable of supporting its primary mission of Search and Rescue, Fire Fighting Capabilities, and Transport.

Specific supporting objectives are:

Objective 1 – The TAFT will conduct a progressive academic, hands-on, and in-flight UH-60A training that includes tactical employment for Albanian Air Force pilots.

Objective 2 – The TAFT will conduct a progressive academic, hands on, and in-flight UH-60A Instructor Pilot certification. 

Objective 3 – The TAFT will provide and train Maintenance Test Pilot support of test flights and maintenance ground runs as Albanian Air Force assumes responsibility for UH-60A maintenance.

Objective 4 – The TAFT will advise and assist Albanian Air Force to establish an effective UH-60A related logistics, sustainment, Aircrew Life Support Equipment (ALSE), and Aircraft Ground Servicing Equipment (AGSE). 

Objective 5 – The TAFT will support the development of Albanian Air Force Standard Operating procedures for UH-60A handling, transportation, associated training and administrative support. 

This position is full-time / full benefits. 

This is a flying position.

Work location: Farka Airbase, Albania

All Infrastructure concerning living (housing, cars, flights, etc.) will be provided by MAG Aerospace

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Advise Albanian Air Force on maintenance records, forms, and logbook tracking. The TAFT will ensure that maintenance is conducted IAW the standing Air Worthiness Release (AWR)
• The MTP/ME shall serve as the Senior UH-60A Maintenance Adviser to Albanian Air Force.
• Conduct maintenance operational checks, ground run-ups, check flights, and maintenance test flights to ensure operational readiness of Albanian Air Force aircraft IAW applicable Flight Operating Procedures.
• The MTP/ME will be designated as a Technical Inspector and perform safe-for-flight release responsibilities.
• Train and evaluation of Albanian Air Force Maintenance Test Pilots. Additionally, train, advise and assist the Albanian Air Force on UH-60A maintenance, procedures, documentation, and to develop SOPs.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

Certifications/Qualifications/Experience:

• Served in the U.S. Military.
• Current Operation in the UH-60 within the last 180 days 
• 5 years’ experience working as a Maintenance Test Pilot in UH-60A/L/M
• Must have a minimum of 1500 hours Rotary Wing time.
• Must have 1000 hours PC/PIC time.
• Must have 300 hours PC/PIC time (UH-60)
• Must have 250 cumulative UH-60A/L/M Maintenance Test Pilot flight hours.
• Must have previous experience as an UH-60A/L/M Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator.

Education:

• Graduate of a U.S. Military Flight School/Training Course (UH-60)
• Graduate of a U.S. Military Maintenance Test Pilot Course UH-60)

Certification:

• Must possess either an FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA Class II medical certificate.

Security Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Other Qualifications:

• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Passport.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining an Albanian work Visa.
• Must provide proof of the following:
  • Military Service, (DD Form 214).
  • Aircraft Experience and Flight Hours, (DA Form 759, Logbooks).
  • Aircraft Qualification Course Certificate (UH-60).
  • Maintenance Test Pilot Course Certificate (Uh-60)
  • (Other), Aviation Certificates of Training and Qualifications.
