What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Vehicle Inspector position at MAG Now?
We are looking for reliable, self-motivated and hardworking individuals to join our Vehicle Inspection team. Our Field Vehicle Inspectors are the backbone of MAG Now, our online wholesale auto auction platform. Through MAG Now, car dealers are able to buy and sell inventory in a live, online auction right from their own dealership.
This position responsible for completing vehicle inspections and condition reports at our customers' dealerships. In addition to serving customers in the greater Portland area, regular weekly travel to Bend, OR and Eugene, OR will be required.
Through the inspection and reporting process, Field Vehicle Inspectors correctly identify damage on the interior and exterior of vehicles as well as identifying any missing components and/or mechanical issues. The process also includes taking multiple photos of each vehicle to accurately capture damage and help provide a clear assessment of the overall condition of the car. Reports and photos are uploaded to the MAG Now platform electronically, using a company issued smart phone. Our Inspectors build and enhance the relationships we have with our customers by delivering a radical customer service experience. They are punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable.
This is a field-based position, requiring daily travel to/from our customers' dealerships. We reimburse employees for business mileage incurred on their person vehicles at the current IRS standard rate.
Work is preformed mostly outside, in all weather conditions. Daily travel to and from car dealerships is required to complete the condition reporting process.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated organizational, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills and will also possess the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. A high school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and clean driving record and your own vehicle are required as well. Previous auto body, paint or mechanical knowledge is preferred.
