MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in full life cycle systems engineering, with expertise in subsystem decomposition, requirements analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and multi-domain integration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-functional Agile teams, technical strategy development, and collaborating with government stakeholders to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Lead software-focused efforts to integrate next-generation architectures for Electronic Surveillance (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) functions with legacy system interfaces.

Develop and present Test Readiness Review (TRR) materials and perform interface integration demonstrations for customer design reviews.

Support high frequency band demonstrations, including threat definition scenarios, lab equipment setup, and supporting junior engineers with running test cases.

Author Use Cases derived from customer Concept of Operation (CONOPS) documentation using MBSE principles in SysML.

Lead cross-functional teams to ensure on-time completion of requirements derivation and allocation activities, traceability to test cases, fault isolation evaluations, system cost analyses, and thermal trade studies.

Develop and manage technical packages, including budgeting and scheduling, using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.

Collaborate with government stakeholders to develop use cases and installation options for EW systems.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

Strong background in full-life cycle systems engineering, including subsystem decomposition, requirements analysis, and multi-domain integration.

Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.

Proven success in leading cross-functional Agile teams and collaborating with government stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of software and hardware development, including programming languages such as Matlab, Java, C , Verilog, and VHDL.

Experience with maritime / naval and space systems development.

Hands on experience developing and presenting Test Readiness Review (TRR) materials and other design reviews.

Clearance

  • Top Secret / SCI clearance required.

Experience

  • 15 years of experience in the defense industry, with a focus on Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required. Four years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.
  • Preferred Requirements

    Experience with MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, OrCad Schematic, DOORS, Microsoft Office, Visio, MS Project, WindChill, EWIR, JIRA, and Confluence.

    Certification in SysML Model User.

    Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.

    Other Qualifications

    Ability to travel30%travel required to Army and contractor locations within CONUS

    Ability to work in office / field / lab environments

The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
