What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Granville OH - Admin Support Needed for Global Literacy Project position at Magazine Publishers Family Literacy Project?
MagLiteracy.org gets new and recycled magazines to at-risk children and families who want to learn and love to read. Our primary focus areas are mentoring and job training, readers in homeless and domestic violence shelters, hungry families receiving groceries from food pantries, and foster kids. Too many people can't read - a cereal box, a job description, or this web page. Illiterate adults were once children who missed their chance to learn to read. A child who cannot read is unable to do well in any school subject. We help feed kids, teens, and adults hungry to read and succeed. Join with us to change the world - one reader at a time! Volunteer today! Thank you.,
MagazineLiteracy.org is a national program, based here in Ohio that supplies new and recycled magazines and comics to at-risk readers via food pantries, shelters, youth mentoring, and job training programs. We need help organizing our data about programs and volunteers, and tracking and replying to incoming email and social media communications. This is data organization and computer data entry that can be done at home with occasional meetings at the Granville Library or a local coffee shop.
We are seeking volunteers who are comfortable with computers and keyboarding/data entry, social media, and who can make a regular and lasting time commitment.
