Associate Attorney – Construction Law Magaziner Law, P.A., a Construction Law and Civil Litigation firm in Dunedin, FL, seeks a qualified litigation associate to join its ranks. The ideal candidate should have two or more years’ experience in insurance defense or civil litigation and familiarity with billable hours/time tracking requirements. Experience in construction litigation or in the construction field is a plus, though not required.
Applicant Requirements – To be considered for the position, all applicants MUST: • be a member of the Florida Bar Association in good standing; • be able to commute to the office each workday (this is NOT a remote or hybrid position); • be able to travel as required for court appearances, client meetings, and site inspections, etc.; • have strong analytical, grammatical, research, and communication skills. Position Responsibilities: • Manage both transactional and litigation matters; • Prepare/negotiate contracts and construction-related documents; • Prepare/enforce liens; • Conduct formal discovery; • Conduct and defend depositions; • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda with analyses of complex legal issues; • Draft and argue motions; • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
