Job Description
Magdala House is seeking an experienced, innovative, and solution-focused individual to serve as our Assistant Director of Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled Adults Programs. The Assistant Director is one of the most important roles in the IDD Program and is responsible for assisting the Director with the overall operations and development of the IDD Program.
Duties and Responsibilities
?Completing Event Management Tracking (EMT) reports within 24 hours of a critical incident.
? Run candidates through Family Care Safety Registry & Employee Disqualification List
? Interview/hire Candidates for employment
? Schedule/complete orientation with new staff
? Attend Individual Support Plan meetings
? Send documentation to the Department of Mental Health regarding staff Med Level 1 Certifications
? Attend monthly house meeting across locations
? Schedule staff trainings to ensure compliance with state regulations and company guidelines (i.e. Med Level 1, CPI, First-aid/CPR)
? Conduct weekly house checks and assessments
? Approve staff timesheets and mileage
? Assist with completing clients’ ISL Budgets
? Complete food stamp applications for/with clients
? Write Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Action Plans
? Coach, mentor, and develop staff
? Visit Adult Day Program weekly
? Assist with filling vacancies at Magdala’s ISLs and Adult Day Care
? Assist with the expansion of the IDD program

Requirements:Education/Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in social services, leadership & development, business management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within the healthcare or IDD industries, with proven effectiveness.
- Class F Driver’s License in good standing Additional Information
- The following certifications will need to be obtained within 30-60 days of initial employment: CPI Training, Med Level 1, First-Aid/CPR, Class E License
