What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech - Fulltime position at Magee General Hospital?
Position Summary:
- The Maintenance Tech performs preventative maintenance and basic repair duties in and around the buildings and grounds of the hospital. The Maintenance Tech understands and prioritizes stat requests and understands correlation to quality patient care and the environment of care. Understands safe use and maintenance protocols for all related maintenance equipment. Understands and responds appropriately to "code" scenarios. Maintenance Techs must work collaboratively with the staff of departments requiring maintenance to ensure continuity and/or ability to provide patient care services with no or minimal service interruption. May be required to participate in call rotations.
Education Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in industrial or facilities maintenance discipline is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- One (1) year of industrial and/or commercial facilities maintenance is required. Experience with healthcare facilities strongly preferred.
