What are the responsibilities and job description for the CVICU Nurse Manager position at Magee Resource Group?
Magee Resource Group has been retained by The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, a Magnet recognized hospital and Level I Trauma Center, to fill the CVICU Nurse Manager position. Reporting to the Director - Patient Care Services, Heart Lung Vascular Institute, this manager will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and supervision of nursing care on the unit, recruitment and retention, performance review, professional development, and quality outcomes. This nurse leader will be involved in managing monthly budgets, training staff, ensuring proper staffing levels, maintaining patient and staff satisfaction, and leveraging their clinical knowledge to support the team as needed. This will be a challenging yet uniquely rewarding role.
Qualifications:
ICU experience required; CVICU highly preferred.
Leadership/management experience required.
BSN required; master’s degree preferred or obtain within 3 years.
Experience in high-acuity settings (academic, Level I Trauma, large facility) preferred.
CCRN or Nurse Executive certification, process improvement or LEAN experience preferred.
