Magellan Financial is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our expanding team in Topeka, Kansas. Key Responsibilities:
Talent Sourcing & Recruitment Support:
- Identify, attract, and engage high-quality candidates for open roles within Magellan Financial and its advisor partner firms.
- Utilize LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach to source talent.
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate suitability and match them with the right opportunities.
- Maintain an organized, proactive pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
Candidate Assessment & Screening:
- Evaluate candidates based on skills, experience, cultural fit, and career goals.
- Provide detailed candidate insights to hiring managers and advisor partners to aid decision-making.
- Assist in scheduling interviews, coordinating communications, and ensuring a seamless hiring experience.
Advisor & Internal Support:
- Work closely with financial advisors and internal hiring managers to identify top candidates.
- Provide insights on market trends, candidate availability, and hiring strategies.
- Assist in developing job descriptions, interview processes, and onboarding strategies.
Process Improvement & Recruitment Strategy:
- Continuously refine and enhance recruitment workflows for efficiency and better results.
- Use data and feedback to identify process bottlenecks and improve candidate experience.
- Collaborate on employer branding, talent marketing, and candidate engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- No prior experience required—just a strong work ethic, communication skills, and eagerness to learn.
- Strong phone communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Excellent multitasking, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Intuitive ability to assess people, skills, and culture fit.
- Coachable mindset, ready to learn recruitment best practices and industry-specific hiring needs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple hiring projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); CRM/recruiting software is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial services, recruiting, or HR is beneficial but not required.
- Strong research and social media sourcing skills (LinkedIn, really, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary ($40,000 - $65,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses).
