What are the responsibilities and job description for the AUTOMOTIVE TRANSMISSION TECHNICIAN position at Magic City Auto Group?
Magic City Ford Lincoln Isuzu in Roanoke, VA is looking for a self-motivated transmission technician to work in our highly productive shop. We offer continued education, that includes manufacturer hands on and online training.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Continuation of training
· Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle engines, transmissions, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
· Overhaul transmissions to factory standards
· Perform work specified on RO’s with high efficiency, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
· Be able to communicate with Service Advisors to keep customers informed of any additional services needed
· Road test vehicles to test and diagnose issues
· Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Requirements:
· Two years Automotive Transmission repair experience
· Valid driver’s license
· Clean background check and driving record
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
· Must have tools
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
