What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wait Staff/Server position at Magic City Casino?
Magic City Casino is looking for Wait Staff/Server to join our team!
This is an ideal position for college students looking for a flexible schedule.
- Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to our customers in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner using suggestive selling techniques
- Describes all menu items, prices and methods of preparation
- Ensures station and table set ups are complete prior to service and at the end of the shift.
- Clears tables during service.
- Maintains area with all supplies.
- Controls guest checks to secure proper payment.
- Communicates and works closely with kitchen staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assists guests as necessary.
- All other duties as needed.
Work Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- 2 years of previous experience working as a server preferred.
- Must be able to obtain the appropriate state occupational license.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Professional and Dependable.
- Fine dining serving experience is a plus.
- Must be minimum age to serve alcohol
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
- Will be required to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
