What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tire and Lube Technician position at MAGIC CITY TIRE AND SERVICE?
We are seeking an experienced Tire and Lube Technician for a full-time position for:
Magic City Tire and Service
3020 Messer Airport Highway
Birmingham, AL 35203
Hours will be: M-Th 7:30am – 5pm & Friday 7:30am – 4pm
NO WEEKENDS
· Pay is based off of experience
· Benefits available after 90 days of employment
· Apprentice Program offered after 90 days of employment
Requirements:
· Ability to learn basic automotive maintenance tasks
· Tools - not required but preferred
· Must have a valid automobile driver's license
· Operate customer and company vehicles
· Reading, writing, and math skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Perform oil changes and lubrication services on vehicles
· Install and perform tire maintenance
· Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance needs
· Road test vehicles as needed
· Perform basic vehicle maintenance
· Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections on assigned vehicles
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
· Experience with automotive repair and maintenance is preferred
· Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
· Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
· Proficient with tablets, computers and other technologies
· Additional automotive experience and/or qualifications is a preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $17.50 per hour
