What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precast Concrete Laborer position at Magic Design?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various construction projects.
- Prepare and follow cement mix and recipe for pouring.
- Build simple molds, assist in the fabrication of complex molds.
- Operate concrete mixing equipment and ensure proper setup and maintenance.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks to achieve smooth surfaces and desired textures.
- Sand, Bodywork, and prep finished precast pieces.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete labor or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, and pumping techniques.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading to interpret project specifications.
- Skills in frame carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, and tile laying are highly desirable.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.
